

KARA HUNSINGER
Kara Hunsinger, originally from Modesto, California, began her dance journey at Juline’s School of Dance under the guidance of David Arce. She continued her studies at the University of Arizona, where she had the privilege of performing works by renowned choreographers such as George Balanchine, Nacho Duato, Autumn Eckman, Alexei Ratmansky, Tamara Dyke-Compton, Sam Watson, and Christopher Wheeldon. Graduating magna cum laude, Kara went on to join DanceWorks Chicago.
After her time with DanceWorks Chicago, Kara expanded her artistry by collaborating with a diverse range of companies and choreographers, including Brendan Fernandes, Visceral Dance Chicago, New Dances, PARA.MAR Dance Theater, Boykin Dance Project, and the Lyric Opera. Her extensive supplemental training includes programs with Alonzo King LINES Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Ballet West, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Ate9, Share Dance Intensive, and the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance.
Kara is thrilled be part of the comeback season of LEVELdance, bringing her passion and experience to this exciting new chapter.
