MATTHEW WENCKOWSKI

Matthew joined the Joffrey Academy of Dance’s pre-professional and trainee programs, performing works created for the Academy as well as in The Joffrey Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker. Matt was a scholarship student at the Lou Conte Dance Studio before joining DanceWorks Chicago, under Artistic Director Julie Nakagawa. In 2015, he joined the Grand Rapids Ballet, performing soloist roles in classical and contemporary works. Matt was a dancers of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago (HSDC) from 2022 to 2024, where he danced and created pieces for HSDC's Inside/Out Choreographic Workshop and the CREATE Intensive. His new creation for DanceWorks Chicago, Run It One More Time, premiered in Schweinfurt, Germany, May 2024.
